Brad

I appreciate your comment and words of encouragement. I am not poking fun of anyone who may or may not be able to take the Lord Supper in the traditional manner. I made the comment ... "I read this week" which says I was not making the comments directly myself, but referring to an article I had read on the "Out of Ur" blog site. The intent was to show how some are making "substitutions" and the further point that Christ is our substitution.

My youngest son has battled Celiac disease for years. It has changed not only how he eats, but also we as a family. So know my heart I know somewhat second-hand (first hand is such as you and my son who battle it) how hard this can be.

I apologize if I have given any offense. That is never my intent.

Interesting comment about the gluten-free communion. As a pastor with Celiac disease (not allergy but full blown Celiac), I was wondering about your comment. I got the feeling that you were poking fun at those who might not be able to partake in the "traditional" manner. I assume that you simply did not complete your thought. Having said this, I do not have a gluten-free communion just for convenience sake; I trust that God will see my heart and protect my body as I ingest just a little gluten in the Communion.

I enjoy reading your blog and sermon ideas. Keep up the great work! Blessings.
